Golf Memorial for Tom Boyle 

In memory of their esteemed colleague Tom Boyle, Building Control Officers within the Southern Group offices (past and present) along with golfing fanatics from Craigavon Council held a golf outing recently to raise funds for the Royal Victoria Hospital , Belfast .

Thanks to the generosity of the BC Officers and their sponsor Tascomi, they raised just over £1,175 for the hospital where Tom was treated.

A great day was had by the 26 officers who attended and it was easy to see that there had been a great deal of thought put into the outing through the organisational skills of ABE members Tom Lavery , Paul McQuillan and Richard Dale .

The weather was brilliant, the craic mighty and the golf ….well some were better than others…although the windows in the Club house did get a bit of a rattle by a well known officer in Southern Group!!!

“It was a great day” says Richard Dale from Craigavon Borough Council Building Control, “and we’re delighted and very grateful that Tascomi were able to sponsor some of the prizes. It has now been over a year since Tom died and we wanted to remember him in his own inimitable style – a golf day.

The cheque will be presented to the Royal Victoria Hospital at a later date.
