2022 Amendment of NI Technical Booklet R – Changing Places Toilets

Changing Places Toilet facilities meet the needs of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities as well as people with other physical disabilities such as spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis.  This new requirement for Changing Places Toilets will be in addition to the current requirements for standard accessible toilets and will benefit around 7,000 people in Northern Ireland.  The new statutory guidance is published and came into effect on 30 June 2022.
